Las redes sociales tuteladas por docentes avivan el aprendizaje en las aulas
El proyecto, dirigido por un equipo de profesores universitarios de Comunicación y Psicología, es fruto de un convenio de colaboración entre la Universidad de Alcalá (Madrid) y la empresa Electronic Arts (EA), para investigar el potencial de la aplicación del videojuego en las aulas, junto a otras tecnologías.
Laura Méndez, vicedecana de Practicum y Prácticas profesionales de la Facultad de Psicología de la UNED y responsable de este proyecto dirigido por la catedrática Pilar Lacasa (Universidad de Alcalá), ha explicado a Efe la buena acogida de esta iniciativa por parte de los niños y los profesores.
Una de las conclusiones de este proyecto, que se lleva implantando en varias escuelas madrileñas, es el interés que despiertan en los chavales este tipo de iniciativas lúdico-formativas para acercar las nuevas tecnologías a los entornos educativos.
Según Méndez, este año el proyecto incorpora la participación de los alumnos desde su misma clase en foros virtuales y blogs en la red, tutelados por el profesor, para debatir sobre distintas cuestiones, plantear dudas, contestar a preguntas, etc.
La idea es trasladar a la escuela el potencial educativo que ofrecen las herramientas tecnológicas utilizadas habitualmente por los chicos en casa durante su tiempo de ocio, y guiarles para un manejo acertado de las mismas.
Los debates que se incluyen en esos foros virtuales en las aulas versan sobre situaciones y experiencias planteadas en videojuegos con los que los chicos interactúan previamente.
A través de la red, los profesores preguntan a los chavales sobre los problemas surgidos en esos entornos lúdicos en los que participan y que simulan la realidad, así como de los retos perseguidos, objetivos alcanzados, etc.
Con este tipo de experiencias se les intenta ayudar a interpretar correctamente el lenguaje de Internet, y se les conciencia de que el control técnico de las nuevas tecnologías no garantiza necesariamente el dominio de los contenidos.
Para Méndez, es necesario dotar a los más jóvenes del conocimiento necesario y de los niveles óptimos de alfabetización digital, para que puedan interpretar correctamente los datos con los que se les bombardea en la red.
